Get Lures

1.  Place first in any race in the Finny Frenzy
-obviously, the Beginner's Class is easiest for this.

2. Go back to the Palm Brinks Town Square when there are no events being held there.

3. There will be a Firbit girl in the square at this time. Talk to her and she will join you.

4. She will sell you every lure in the game, so you don't have to run around trying to find/invent more.

5. Be sure to only buy one of each, as the will last forever!

Land the Baron Garayan
Legendary, ultra-rare fish that can only be caught with a certain rod, a certain lure, at a certain location and only at a certain time of day. That's pretty damn rare, then! The advantages of catching a Baron Garayan are plentiful. For starters, even the smallest ones will bring in 300fp and catching one will almost certainly win you the fishing contest as the weigh anything between 6000g and 10,000g. So, here's what you need to catch one, where you need to be and at what time.

Rod: Lure Rod

Time: Between 4 and 9pm

Technique:
Avoid using quick movements, and grab a good book and settle down because you're going to be here a while! Move the line gently left and right a few times and hold the x button for a short while. Keep repeating in a long, gradual, drawn-out process and eventually you'll land a Baron!

Unlock the Demon Shaft Dungeon
After completing the game, you will be prompted to save. After saving, reload your game and a new location will appear on the world map. It is the Demon Shaft, an extremely hard dungeon, with 100 taxing floors.

Quick money and attachments
After completing the Sunken Ship and getting all City Pieces, go to the fish shop. Buy the Flapping Fish and an Ice Cube. Use the map and go to Sunken Ship level 1. Run around until you find the entrance to the back floors. Use the Flapping Fish when you find the entrance. A big fish will appear. Get in the fish., press x when next to him, and opt to get in. Once you get to the back floors, all or almost all treasures will be gems. You can either use them for attachments or sell them.

Easy experience
Once you get to or past the Sunken Ship, go to the Fish Shop, buy the Flapping Fish and an ice Cube. Go to the Sunken Ship level 14 and find the '?' mark on the map. Use the Fish to get to the back area of Level 14. There are eight monsters each that give 24 EXP, a total of 192 EXP each time you enter the level. You don't have to leave the dungeon once you have defeated the monsters. Go back to level 14, return to the back area, and they will appear again. If you have a new weapon you want to build up, switch to a more powerful character. Get the monster's HP low, then switch to that new weapon and kill with one hit. Your new weapon will get the EXP.

Picking up rides
Always stop as close as possible to each customer. If they have to run, you have less time to drop them off, and they yell at you. If you know where the passenger is headin, try to face in that direction when you stop, preferably with a Crazy drift. If you are not sure, hedge your bets and stop halfway between the two directions. Both courses are complete circuits so the best way to play is to continuously complete laps. On the arcade track this means you must go through town, along the freeway, to downtown, to the bus terminal and round to the university again. It makes sense then try to pick up fares that won't have you backtracking.

The Color of Money
All potential customers have their own color code corresponding to the distance they want to go corresponding to the distance they want to og and the potential earnings you can make from picking them up. Look out for the Green customers; they travel the farthest and pay the most, while Reds go the shortest and pay the least. For maximum earnings your customer priority should be: Green, Lime, Yellow, Orange, Red. Some customers change color. For example, at the bus terminal some will switch from Red to Yellow. Again, use the color codes to pick up the ones that want to travel the furthest.

Tip Tips
Every time you pull off a Crazy Hit Trick, a tip is added to your fare. Crazy hits then link into combos until you have a front-end collision with another vehicle when they reset. Good places to rack up the tips are following the cable car going down the hill and on the freeway. Your tips are doubled if you drive on the wrong side of the road. When you drop your ride off they will give you a tip based on your remaining time.

Get $2500-$4000 from hidden customers on the Arcade track.


At the beginning of the game
Instead of driving forward, hit reverse. Pick up the woman directly behind you and she will pay you for a ride to the bottom of the hill.

At the Hotel/Crown Area
Look between the two buildings near the intersection. You should be able to see a tennis player, who wants to go to the tennis court.

Past The Levi's Store
You should see a multi-story parking garage. Drive up the ramp, hug the left side and pick up the old lady on the rooftop. She wants to go all the way to the police station.

On the beach
Just offshore, there are three customers waiting patiently for a cab. Under the waves.

Downtown
Take the ramp on the right side of the theater on the middle street. Jump over to the rooftop, and L2 + L2 + L2 + L2 pick up a punk.

Unlock Crazy Bike
On the character select screen hold L1 + R1, then release L1, then R1. Hold L1 + R1 again and then release them together. Finally, press x and you should hear a bicycle bell. Now when you start the game, your character will be riding around on a bike instead of driving a taxi. The passengers jump in the back.

Unlock expert mode
On the main menu, press and hold L1 + R1 + Start. Keep them held down until the Character Select Screen appears and then press x to start a game. When the game starts, you will see 'Expert' in the bottom left-hand corner and there will be no destination or arrow indicators showing.

Unlock Another Day
On the Character Select screen, press R1 and then release it. Then hold R1 and press x. When the game starts, you will see 'Another Day'. In the bottom left-hand corner and the layout will be mixed up.

Alternate Display
Start a game in Arcade or Original mode, then hold down L1 + R1 on controller two. Keeping them held, press o to switch to an in-car view or ▲ to switch to a rather confusing pan-cam.

Extra lives
After you have defeated the Boss in level hub 4 and earned the bazooka, return to the Arctic Antics level and shoot the three woolly mammoths to get a plethora of extra lives. Falling that, if you can't be bothered to wait for the bazooka, you can use the double jump power that you earn from defeating the second boss to jump on the heads of the mammoths - you'll be awarded an extra life for each mammoth you jump on.

Super Belly Flop Power
After acquiring the Red Gem, go to the Bonzat Bonsat level and ride the Red Gem Platform. At the end you will find an extra gem and the super belly flop power., which should come in handy.

Easy Time Trial
On the wizards and Lizards level, hit the clock at the start to activate the time trial, then press SELECT. You should now warp straight to the end of the level and earn yourself a Platinum relic.

To get the colored gems
You'll have to get past a significant chunk of the following levels without dying (if you die then you'll have to quit out back to the warp room and re-enter the level.) If you manage this you'll come to a skull of crossbones platform which will take you to an alternate path through the level and, providing you survive the new route, the colored gem.

30 Lives

Level 6 : Prisoners of War
After being captured, you start off with just Bradley and a knife. Two soldiers will come through the door, knife them and the two in the next room to grab some weapons. Head back outside through the destroyed wall. Head left and go to the left-most building to get the sniper rifle and further through to rescue Foley. Pick off the gunner with the light and carry on to rescue Jones. Keep going down the slope to rescue Connors. Be careful coming out of this building - use Foley to pick off the guards with lights. Cross the courtyard carefully as there may still be guards left, and there are many flammable barrels. Now enter the sewers and kill the guards here. Exit the other side. There's a tank on top left of the next area, kill the nearby grounds and crawl round the right-hand edge and sniper off the gunner. Take Connors to the building ahead, keep going and shoot the rear of the tank with a missile. You now have to get the jeep over the bridge. Take over the building ahead and place Foley here. The bridge is blocked, so go underneath. Pick off the snipers on the roof. There's another tank over the bridge too, be careful. Blow it up and assemble everyone in the jeep.

Level 7 : Chemical Warfare
The mission can be done stealthily, but since the terrain is open you can be spotted easily. One or two of your party should have silenced weapons. Use the cover down the sides to hide in and pick off the guards when you get close. Because of the open terrain, Foley will be spotted from quite a way away. Take over the buildings and bunker, then blow the door with C4 when you can't go any further. There are two tanks on the other side of this building. It's possible to run up to it and plant some C4 to blow it up. You can sneak around the right side and the left when the first tank is down. Grab all the goodies from the outhouses and enter the underground compound. Go through the door on the right and grab the tank they've handily left you. Take out a few people on foot, and leave one person inside to cover them. Get upstairs, careful of shooting civilians (as they look a lot like soldiers). Defuse the warheads; they look like cones with red lights on top. They will turn green when defused. Also destroy the big rocket carriers (SCUD Launchers) using C4 or missiles. There's a tank inside, be careful. Be wary about shooting in certain areas as your bullet might hit a tube and kill you with poisonous gas. Once you've blown everything up, get back to the broken gate at the start, and kill any nearby guards.

Level 8 : Fires of Kuwait
There are five red charges to defuse. The first is near the concrete holding up the tubes by the van. Blow up the tank and there's another charge in the fenced-off area in the front left of the tank. Head upstairs and the third charge is on the left side of a large vat. Cover the man defusing it with your other players place at vulnerable edges. Continue to the fourth charge, which is opposite a small room in the building up from the entrance of the last area. Go past the truck and the final change is in the building on the right. Zigzag past the vats and now defend the allies by shooting out the tanks and troops.

Level 9 : Air Cover
This is town-based level. Eliminate the enemies and tank. Now blow up the first SAMIS, this looks like a building on the left. Go upstaris, check every room for items and be careful of grenades. Get upstairs, past the dark room, and the aeroplane. There's an entrance to the plane on the opposite near side, but it's best to run to the stairs in the far corner. Continue inside, past the luggage belts and use the keypad to open the door. The next area is large with two tanks and a bloke on a big gun that you must destroy. Use the sand bags as cover; vehicles give limited cover as they will get destroyed by a missile or from a tank. Once the area is secure, destroy the big gun at the far end and the two SAMISs on the right near to the entrance. Go into the door on the top left to the departure lounges. Continue upwards and destroy the Relay Control (a red-lit room) using C4. Follow the yellow pointer on the compass to board the APC to exit the level.

Level 10 : Superguns
Get everyone in the tank and blast your way through! Keep one person on the ground, though, to infiltrate houses and buildings. They can cover one other. Keep going to the town square and use the tank's M-220 TOW Anti-Tank Guided Missile to blow up the other tank waiting there. Continue and destroy any tanks like this. The man on the ground can easily pick off any enemies waiting in windows. Get out at the barricade. Get upstairs in the warehouse and laser target the supergun outside. Use Jones to plant the C4 on the control room through the warehouse outside on the left. You may like to keep someone in the tank on case soldiers are still following, they can cover your back. Now go back outside and head towards the docks. There's another tank inside the warehouse. Get out the other side, continue and a tank will come around the corner. Lure it one-way with a man by the gap; now use Connors to missile the tank from its blind side. Now head upstairs in the other warehouse and laser-target the second supergun. Get back to the docks and there'll be another tank waiting for you. Destroy all enemies, there are quite a few on the cranes over the water, sniper them and use your other troops to blast everyone else. Don't be afraid to use big weapons as this is the final battle! The helicopter will land when there are no more enemies and you've completed the game!

Walkthrough


Level 1 : Strike!
Shoot any enemies from the truck and set the remaining team-mates to fire at will. Take two soldiers out into all three houses, the rest will get destroyed by the ally 'copters. Use C4 on the barricade and take the truck round the bends to the open area. Leave Foley in the truck (or put him on top of the nearby building) and take two teams around the edges of the area to eliminate the gunners. Another 'copter will take out the tank for you. Enter the town, avoid killing civilians and continue through. Shoot down the sniper behind you when you exit the destroyed building. Continue to the vehicles to complete the mission.

Level 2 : Streets of Baghdad
Go into the house and man the gun turret. Take the rest of the group outside to secure the area. Now get everyone through the back of the far house and use the air strike on the tank ahead. Continue on until you see a mound. Take shelter left, behind the wall, and grab the missiles from the area behind the archway. Get Connors to sneak/run to the building opposite and around the far right to avoid the tank. Get behind and destroy it. Continue and air strike another tank. Go upstairs in the nearby building and sniper off the enemies from near the washing line. Leave Connors up here crouched with a missile launcher and take everyone else down. Carry on until you see the red smoke and switch  back to Connors (after leaving everyone on fire at will.) Missile the tank that merges below. Kill all remaining soldiers and meet at the red smoke.

Level 3 : Besieged
There's a sandstorm going on during this level, so don't expect to be able to see anything great detail. Follow the guys taking point; one will die, so you must protect the other when he rests. Secure the area and continue down into the sewers. Avoid the helicopter and carry onto the bunker. Leave a soldier or two manning the guns below and take Foley and Connors upstairs. Put everyone on fire at will to help out the helicopter. After the helicopter is away safely, defend the bunker, until told to escape. It's best to stay on the stairs, missiles can't reach you easily. Note where the exit is, it looks out onto the yard and faces a closed gate. Exit and head for the gate that will be destroyed when you get close to finish the mission.

Level 4 : Victor 2 
Leave the jeep until you've cleared the level. Go up the passage left and leave your sniper on the hill above the minefield. Go into the channel and hide, then pick off the guards and light towers and check all the buildings. There are two tanks in this level  - don't set of the alarm and they shouldn't be a problem. The first one you can shoot with an anti-tank missile. For the second, creep up to the front (guards are at the bank) and plant C4 and detonate to eliminate tank. Grab the jeep and escape.

The hardest parts
This is a stealth level - don't get spotted by spotlights, pick off the guards manning them with stealth kills and circle around the outside of areas. Get rid of the mines before you drive over them. You can shoot them with the sniper and watch the fireworks. Keep Foley far away or in watch towers.

Level 5 : Communications Breakdown 
The best route
Take control of the first area and get to the roof of the building on the left. From here you can take out the tank. Get back down and continue to take control of areas until you get to a building with a blue door. Get to the top and use C4 to blow up the Radar control room and satellite dishes. Avoid the helicopter or get  Jones to missile it. Get out of the building and follow the yellow target and clear out everything along the way. Destroy the tank and blow up the three fuel tanks. You now have to escape. There's a tank waiting for you inside one of the buildings, you can use smoke grenades or missiles to disarm it and run past to get back to your jeep.

Hardest Parts
Get to the top and blow up the Radar Control room and satellite dishes. Avoid the helicopter or get Jones to shoot it.

Unlock Dauragon (Shirtless)
Complete the game three times using any character. After defeating Dauragon for the second time, he will get up again and fight without a shirt on. Defeat him to unlock this gulse in Versus and Survival modes.

Unlock Dauragon (One Armed)
Play the game through in Story mode and defeat Dauragon on the first encounter. The one-armed fighting version of him will now be unlocked in Versus and Survival modes.

Unlock Dominique

Select Volt or Kou in their story line through the Mikado Building and have either of them fight Kaldea. Select Sion for the fight with Dauragon. After the battle, Sion remember a battle with Master Wong. Defeat him to unlock Master Wong in Versus and Survival Modes.

Secret Envelopes
The chances are that having already played through the game, you will have stumbled across strange, concealed envelopes marked with letters, Well, by locating and obtaining these envelopes and then going on to complete the game, you'll unlock additional cheats for the next time you play. Here are those envelope locations:

Envelope A
On the rooftop battle level, when the clowns chase Mary, you will go up to the rooftops. Use the Grappling hook to get up to her roof and then defeat the white clown. Go up to the next roof, where there is a little balcony. Jump across the gap to see a thug run across a hall with the girl. Follow him and he will jump off the roof. Look down and drop on to lowest edge then walk along to the left until you see a grappling hook icon appear in the corner. Use the hook to swing over and pick the envelope marked with the letter "A".

Envelope B
On the Bridge level, knock out the thug at the start and then you should see a glowing item on the left. Climb the ladder and jump/glide around the crate onto the next crate. Then finally glide onto the platform with the letter.

Envelope C
On the Plant Electrocution level, you will start by sliding down towards some holes in the ground - all apart from the second hole are fatal, so glide down into it and you will see an illuminated area. Pick up the item - a key - you find inside and use the grappling hook to exit. Jump out of the hole and finish the slide then use the key on the door  right beside the vines (behind the glass.) Go inside and fight the Plant Men then you'll find envelope "C". Complete the game and the cheat for all weapons and unlimited ammo will be unlocked for subsequent games.

Envelope D
On the SWAT Chase level you will enter the elevator shaft. Ride the elevator all the way down until it stops and then get out and wait for it to rise again. After it rises, jump down to the bottom of the shaft and use the first-person view to find the control box. Use a batarang to disable it and the door behind it will open. Stay clear of the elevator and wait for the correct time to get into the open room. Inside the room is "Secret Key 2". Get out of the room and ride the elevator back up to the top. At the top there is a door that is supposed to be locked.  Use you new-found key to open it. Inside is an envelope with the letter D marked on it. Now all you have to do is complete the game and the cheat for Infinite Special Move Bar will be unlocked for subsequent games.

Envelope E
On the Gasworks Level, you'll find a room with two floors, each floor with two thugs on them. First, take out the thugs then look around on the lower floor until you see a sewer pipe with boxes in the sewage. Carefully glide down and land on the first box then jump over the next few boxes and pick up the envelope with an "E" on it. Now all you have to do is complete the game and the Infinite Health cheat will be unlocked for subsequent games.
